The annual Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District art show is important to celebrate and recognize student artists at every level from elementary school to high school.
Known today for his mastery of large-format black-and-white photography, Warren works exclusively with 4×5 view cameras and traditional darkroom techniques to create hand-printed silver gelatin photographs.
Born March 15, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, and passing away on August 22, 2021, Bonanno began his career as a staff photographer for Time–Life Newspapers before moving to Ladysmith, Wisconsin, in the early 1970s, where he operated DuBois Studio and later Honor Light Photography in Eau Claire and Ladysmith.
This interactive visual arts exhibit explores the restorative qualities, symbolism, and fragility of birds through more than 50 works in pastel, gouache, and beadwork sculpture.
This exhibit will showcase the talents of the artists to include quilting, weaving, embroidery, felting, knitting and more. Emphasis will be on the use of fiber for visual appreciation rather than functional practical value. Historically textiles were only seen for their utility such as clothing and household items.
