Ready to try something new? Join Minnesota artist Kevin Ewing for a hands-on wood carving workshop! Learn relief carving techniques on your own 8"x10" basswood board with step-by-step guidance, all tools and materials included. Bring a sketch to carve or select a design from various options available in class. Kevin has been blending craftsmanship with nature-inspired design since the 1980s, and his approachable teaching style makes this perfect for beginners. Kevin spent most of his career teaching art and serving as an elementary school principal. After retirement, he has been building custom furniture that incorporates wood carving and teaching relief carving in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. No experience necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to learn. Cost $75/student
