Hailed as “the best Cajun band in the world,” BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet’s distinctive sound derives from the distilled spirits of New Orleans jazz, blues rock, folk, swamp pop, Zydeco, country, and bluegrass. BeauSoleil will bring you to your feet!

BeauSoleil tours extensively in the U.S. and internationally. While its repertoire includes hundreds of traditional Cajun, Creole and zydeco songs, BeauSoleil has also pushed past constraints of purely traditional instrumentation, rhythm, and lyrics of Louisiana folk music, incorporating elements of rock and roll, jazz, blues, calypso, and other genres in original compositions and reworkings of traditional tunes. Lyrics on BeauSoleil recordings are sung in English or Cajun French (and sometimes both in one song).

Former Eau Claire resident, Jim Hoehn, will be opening for the band. Since winning a songwriting contest and making his first public appearance at Milwaukee’s Summerfest – the world’s largest music festival – Hoehn has maintained a time-available selection of club dates, house concerts, theater shows and festivals across the country.

Tickets: Adults $27, Seniors $25, Youth $15, Family* $70
