The Valley Art Association is proud to curate and host the Wisconsin Regional Art Program (W.R.A.P.) and State Teen Art Mentor Program exhibit in Chippewa Falls at the Heyde Center for the Arts.

  • Entry and Payment Due: September 15, 2022
  • Artwork Load In: Monday-Tuesday, October 10-11, 2022 (Mon 10-4, Tues 10-2)
  • Hang Date: Wednesday, October 12, 2022
  • Show Opens: Thursday, October 13, 2022
  • Judging: Amanda Bulgar UWEC
  • “How to Achieve Unity in your Art” - Allan Servoss, November 3, 2022 - 3:00 to 5:30 [$5.00 charge to non-participating artist or guest]

Public Artist Reception: Saturday, November 5, 2022 from noon to 4:00 p.m. Awards, Music, Silent Auction

Public Workshops: Registration is required.

Oct 29, 2022 9-noon Kids Hands on Workshop For Ages 8+, Limit 10 “Create a Collage & a Watercolor Card” Instructor: Cari Raynae Jacobson Take home two art projects that you will create with the guidance from a greeting card artist.

Oct 29, 2022 9-noon Adult Workshop-For Ages 18+, Limit 10 “Dry Point Etching” Instructor: Noriko Slowinski Dry Point Etching is a print form where the artist draws and marks on a plate with sharp pointy tools. In class you will experiment and make simple artwork using recycled materials.

Nov 5, 2022 9-noon Kids Hands on Workshop-For Ages 12-18, Limit 10 “Colored Pencil Keep It Simple” Instructor: Kelly Speros This class will focus on using a limited palette of 3 primary colors with the addition of white and dark umber to achieve realistic color and details.

Nov 5,2022 9-noon Adult Workshop-For Age 18+, Limit 10 “Playing with Watercolor” Instructor: Ruth Lundblad This class is designed to introduce the exciting watercolor medium.
