Nearly half a millennium past, in a land far, far away, there was a kingdom ruled by a beneficent king and a gracious queen. Kind and generous rulers they were, and each year during the season of Advent, they would assemble their royal court of singers, musicians, jesters, and other performers to entertain special guests. Those who attended were treated to a sumptuous five-course meal and beverages from the King’s private cellar (actually, a Wassail of fruit juice, spices and Sprite!) in a beautiful banquet hall.

Almost as if by magic, the castle will be transported to the Heyde Center for the Arts on Saturday, December 20th and Sunday, December 21st. You are invited to be one of the special guests who will be treated to an evening of beautiful music, splendid food and plenty of tomfoolery. The evening culminates with the friar reading the story of the Nativity as found in the Gospel of Luke.

His Majesty’s Crier will begin announcing guests for seating in the Royal Hall at approximately 4:30 each evening. Note: Guests will be seated in the order in which their tickets are given to the Crier.

The Royal Banquet Hall has a specified number of seats, so secure your “invitation” as soon as possible. In return for each invitation, guests are asked to make a donation of 49 Pounds ($49.00) to the Heyde Center for the Arts.
