Kay Brathol-Hostvet's pastel landscape paintings have been described as "Contemporary Regionalism" and "emotive landscapes." She works from her home studio in Eau Claire, Wisconsin as well as teaches workshops in the Midwest. Maureen Skroski describes her painting as an interpretation and expression of nature with her love of color as her guide.
