Born March 15, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, and passing away on August 22, 2021, Bonanno began his career as a staff photographer for Time–Life Newspapers before moving to Ladysmith, Wisconsin, in the early 1970s, where he operated DuBois Studio and later Honor Light Photography in Eau Claire and Ladysmith.
