The Heyde Center, in collaboration with the Rusk Area Arts Alliance, proudly presents an extraordinary exhibit featuring a curated selection of Alfred Bonanno’s photographic works. Born March 15, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, and passing away on August 22, 2021, Bonanno began his career as a staff photographer for Time–Life Newspapers before moving to Ladysmith, Wisconsin, in the early 1970s, where he operated DuBois Studio and later Honor Light Photography in Eau Claire and Ladysmith. His impressive resume spans decades of photographic excellence, blending technical mastery with a profound artistic vision.

This exhibit showcases a diverse collection of his traditional photographic prints, reflecting both his global experience and deep local roots—a true testament to the richness of our regional arts community. Each piece embodies the enduring beauty and precision of classic photographic processes, inviting viewers to experience art that is both authentic and evocative. All prints will be available for purchase, offering a unique opportunity to own a piece of Bonanno’s legacy.
