Job Opening - Performance Services Associate

The Chippewa Valley Cultural Association-Heyde Center for the Arts (CVCA) is now hiring for its new Performance Services Associate Position. This is a non-exempt employee position. The position will work with CVCA staff and volunteers to deliver customer service and management support for production of performance/rental/exhibits and stage events. Evaluating performances and effectiveness of staff for events will be included in this position. The Position will also be responsible for promoting the CVCA by attracting and meeting interested groups, and supplementing the marketing of CVCA events by using various promotional materials and social media. Qualified applicants will have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree or 1 to 3 years of event management/customer service experience in a related field. Hospitality and tourism experience is preferred. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Pay commensurate with experience.

Savoring the Arts

Savoring the Arts is the major annual fundraising and social event for CVCA/Heyde Center for the Arts.  It is an opportunity to provide our supporters with a delightful social evening, developing and nurturing relationships plus making new friends, all while raising much-needed funds for special needs and ongoing expenses. This year's theme is Hollywood Awards/Oscar Night.

​54th Annual Spring Art Show

We apologize but due to weather travel concerns, the Heyde Center was closed on Sun April 15th. The demonstration has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 19 at 1:00 p.m. 

The Chippewa Herald along with the Chippewa Valley Cultural Association/Heyde Center for the Arts will again be hosting the 54th Annual Spring Art show. Nearly 100 local artists - old and young, novice and experienced - submit their two and three-dimensional art works each year to this community exhibit.

The world renowned Russian music, dance, and song group, Barynya is the premier Russian folk ensemble touring the US today. They have performed at Carnegie Hall, The National Constitution Center, The Smithsonian, and the United Nations just to name a few. They will perform traditional Russian, Cossack, Ukrainian, and Gypsy Roma dancing, songs, and virtuoso performances on several traditional Russian instruments. Every routine is performed in beautiful hand-made costumes from the region and era of the performance, and an explanation will be given to the audience on the significance and cultural uniqueness of each.
