As part of its commitment to involve youth in arts and cultural activities, the CVCA/Heyde Center provides an early introduction of children to the arts and culture through the offering of forty-five minute presentations of various arts and cultural activities at the Heyde Center during the summer. The target age group is 4 - 10 years of age. There is no cost to participate. Reservations not required, but we appreciate notification if bringing a large group.

July 31 - Suminagashi (Paper marbling) Suminagashi, which translates to floating black ink, is the ancient meditative Japanese practice of floating pigments on the surface of water with a brush and then capturing the mono print image on paper. A super fun art form for all ages. Come make these exciting marbled designs and see the mesmerizing effect when ink is combined with water.
